While Seniors Services Society is not a housing provider nor a housing placement service, we offer three  unique housing programs to assist seniors 55+ or those close to 55 with a disability find appropriate housing. Seniors Services Society is the only non-profit society working specifically with seniors to assist them in finding appropriate housing.

Housing Programs at Seniors Services Society

Housing Counselling

• Available to any senior looking to move within or to BC
• Clients receive tailored information & referral on issues relating to obtaining or maintaining housing
• Clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness may be referred internally to our Housing Outreach or Temporary Housing Programs

Housing Outreach

• For homeless and at risk seniors with barriers to finding housing
• Outreach workers work one-on-one with clients to assess their needs and assist them in finding appropriate housing
• Available to seniors located in Metro Vancouver, excluding the Downtown Eastside
• Requires Housing Counsellor referral

Temporary Housing Program (THP)

• For homeless and at risk seniors
• Provides a furnished apartment in conjunction with tailored outreach services
• Available to seniors located in Metro Vancouver
• Requires Housing Counsellor referral and interview with program coordinator
