Housing Navigation Information

Seniors Services Society provides information on housing options for seniors (60 years+). We are not a housing provider nor are we able to provide housing placements; however, we have experienced and knowledgeable staff who can provide information that will help you find appropriate housing.

When you are connected to our housing department, trained staff will ask you a series of detailed questions about factors such as health and income to determine your housing needs and eligibility. All client interviews are confidential, and if you are phoning on behalf of a senior, we will always speak with the client before taking any action to make sure that they are directly involved in the decision-making.

Due to limited resources, Seniors Services Society is only able to help seniors who are 60 years and older and who are either 1) Canadian citizens, 2) Permanent Residents who have been in Canada for 10 years or more or 3) seniors for whom private sponsorship has broken down. We help seniors live independently, not in assisted or supportive housing.

Please note: with the limited number of vacancies in pet-friendly buildings, there may be longer than anticipated wait times.
